NYSC's biometric registration page lists the 2×2 inch size, the background, framing and lighting. The 600×600 px export is our conversion at 300 dpi because the page gives no pixel size, KB limit or format. Always check the portal for the latest notice.

Tips for an NYSC photo that passes
- Make sure your eyes, nose, ears, mouth and jaw are all visible, with the head straight and not bent.
- Let the face fill the frame and keep it centred. The zoom slider helps if the original shows too much.
- Use a white or off-white background only. Coloured or patterned walls are the usual reason photos are sent back.
- Light the face from the front or from a window so there are no shadows. NYSC asks for a well-lit environment.
- The NYSC FAQ says to upload a clean, clear photograph. A sharp original compresses better than a blurry one.
