The UPI ID that should receive the payment, e.g. yourname@okhdfcbank.
UPI is India-domestic; currency is fixed to INR.
Check the payment details before sharing your QR code. The QR code contains only the payment information you entered — Q3 Labs does not verify the UPI account or process the payment.

This generates a UPI payment QR code only — it doesn't transfer money, process a payment, or connect to your bank. Your UPI ID, name, amount, and note stay in your browser and are never sent to Q3 Labs.

How to Create a UPI QR Code
- Enter your UPI ID (VPA), e.g. yourname@okhdfcbank.
- Optionally add your payee name so it's clear who the payment is for.
- Add an amount if you want the QR to request a specific value.
- Add a transaction note if useful, e.g. an invoice number.
- The QR code updates instantly as you type.
- Download it as a PNG or SVG, or copy the payment link to share digitally.
- The person paying scans it with any UPI-supported app and confirms the payment.
What Is a UPI QR Code?
A UPI QR code is a scannable image that encodes a UPI payment link — a upi://pay URI containing a payee's UPI ID and, optionally, an amount, payee name, and note. Instead of typing a UPI ID manually, a payer scans the code with their UPI app, which reads the encoded details and opens a pre-filled payment screen.
How UPI QR Codes Work
A UPI ID is turned into a UPI payment URI (adding an amount, name, or note as query parameters), that URI is encoded into a QR code image, a UPI app scans and decodes it back into the payment details, and the payer confirms the payment in their own app. Q3 Labs generates the QR code itself — the actual transaction happens entirely between the payer's UPI app and their bank, with Q3 Labs never involved in or aware of the payment.
Create a UPI QR Code With an Amount
Adding a fixed amount is useful when the price is already known — a specific invoice, a fixed-price product, or a one-time payment request. The payer's UPI app pre-fills that exact amount, reducing the chance of someone entering the wrong figure.
Create a UPI QR Code Without an Amount
Leaving the amount blank creates a reusable QR code where the payer enters their own amount when they scan it — useful for a general "pay me" code (a tip jar, a donation box, or a shop counter) where the amount varies each time, rather than generating a new QR for every transaction.

Is a UPI QR Code the Same as a UPI ID?
No. A UPI ID (or VPA — Virtual Payment Address) is the text address itself, like name@bank. A UPI QR code is a generated image encoding a payment link built from that UPI ID — the QR code is a convenient, scannable representation, not a different kind of identity or account.
UPI QR Code vs UPI Payment Link
They're the same underlying link, presented two ways. The QR code is a scannable image version, best for printed materials or in-person scanning. The raw payment link (the upi://pay?... URI itself) is better for sharing digitally — over chat or email, for example — where a recipient can tap it directly on their own phone instead of scanning a screen.
How to Use a UPI QR Code
The payer opens their UPI app, chooses "scan & pay" (or similar), points the camera at the QR code, reviews the pre-filled payee and amount details, and confirms the payment with their UPI PIN. Always encourage payers to double-check the payee name and amount shown in their app before confirming.
Privacy and Security
The QR code contains exactly the information you typed — your UPI ID, and any payee name, amount, or note you added — and nothing else. Generation happens entirely in your browser; your UPI ID, name, amount, and note are never sent to Q3 Labs or stored anywhere by this tool. Before sharing a generated QR code, double-check the details are correct, since anyone who scans it will see exactly what you entered.
